Why these pages look plain

Every page here is dark ink on white with thin rules — no colour bands across the top, no shaded blocks, no script fonts. That is a decision, not a shortcut.

A binder like this gets printed at home, on a home printer, by somebody who is not going to enjoy replacing a cartridge halfway through. Kits that put a solid colour bar on every page look better in a listing photo and cost real money at the paper tray: eighty pages of colour at a print shop runs well past the price of the file. Ours print for the cost of the paper.

The type is set in Atkinson Hyperlegible, a typeface drawn to stay readable for people with low vision. Field labels are large enough to read across a kitchen table, and the writing lines are far enough apart for a pen held by someone in a hurry.

What you get, every time

  • US Letter, one-sided, with three-hole margins already built into the left edge.
  • An instant download link by email, and it keeps working for thirty days, so you can print one page again later.
  • Facts with a source. Where a page states a rule — how long to keep a tax record, what a bank needs to release a safe deposit box — it names the agency the rule comes from, so you can check it.
  • No legal forms. No will, no power of attorney, no medical directive. Those are written by an attorney and the rules differ by state. These pages record where the signed originals are.
  • Fourteen days to change your mind, no questions, on anything paid. See the terms.
